Immune Boosting Mocktail

Ingredients:

  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2-inch fresh turmeric root, peeled and sliced
  • 1 orange, juiced
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water or soda water
  • Ice cubes

Direction:

  1. Make the Ginger-Turmeric Tea:

    • In a teapot or saucepan, add the sliced ginger, turmeric, and 1/4 cup of water.
    • Bring to a gentle simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit and cool.
    • Strain the liquid to remove the solids if using a saucepan. 
  2. Mix the Mocktail:

    • In a glass, combine the orange juice, lemon juice, and ginger-turmeric liquid.
    • Top with sparkling water for a fizzy finish.
    • (Optional) Add fresh mint leaves and a slice of orange or lemon.

 

This mocktail is perfect for dry January or as a health-boosting treat at any time of the year. Enjoy!
